The Golden Hour medallion celebrates the sundial, an ancient horological device that date back to 1500 BCE from Egyptian and Babylonian astronomy. The sundial is an instrument that tells us the time of day by tracking the position of a shadow cast by the sun.

Crafted in our proprietary 14k yellow gold alloy, this medallion has all the components to allow you to track time. The dial is engraved with hour lines in Roman numerals, a raised rod (called a gnomon). Pointing the gnomon towards the celestial pole. As the sun moves across the sky from east to west, the gnomon blocks the light and casts a shadow on the hour lines. Engraved on the back is the Latin phrase, “nullas horas nisi aureas” which translates to, “none but golden hours”.Our newly designed bail clicks open to hang on your favorite chain.
